Prof. Jonny Herron

Mr Jonathan Herron is a plastic surgeon and is the module leader for the Lasers Module and the Reflection Module for the MSc Programme in Aesthetic Non-Surgical Interventions, University of Greater Manchester. 

He was formerly the District Clinical officer for London South for St John Ambulance overseeing the clinical education element for his region.He is the Medical Director of Cavendish Clinic and oversees not only the clinical side but the Aesthetics Training Institute which he co-founded. He is the Medical Director of Wellness Medical Laboratory and has written and oversees their clinical education programs.

He has designed and led a minor surgical course with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and was a member of design committee for the Royal College of Surgeons England Clinical passport education program helping design and deliver this program and worked part time as an anatomy demonstrator for University College London. 

He has lectured for various Universities in Nursing, Medicine, Allied Health and Physician Associate studies.He is passionate about innovation and lead a virtual education program during COVID-19. He worked with the Public Health Association the national public health body for Northern Ireland as the Clinical lead for the Contact Tracing Centre during COVID 19 and helped design the programs used for contact tracing as well as successfully reducing the R number. 

He has been an ambassador for Citizenaid program and delivered the principals and teaching across the Carribbean and central America.He has taught surgical and medical skills to the East and West African nations. He is a Key Opinion Leader in the Aesthetics industry for key players such as E50, The Oxygen Advantage and Seriderm.

He is the medical advisor to both Asthma Care Ireland and to Woundai'd.He is also the Chief Medical Officer for Freyr Health delivering virtual healthcare worldwide. Mr Herron is a passionate researcher having published over 80 articles and has a H index of 14.He has been a recipient of the Royal Humane Society Bronze Bravery Medal and was presented this by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra.
